Introduction:
At High-End Form, we take pride in every detail of our work, but some projects truly stand out for their scale and innovation. Headland House, designed by Gockel Architects and constructed by the Thallon Mole Group, is a prime example. Located in Moffat Beach, this impressive home sits gracefully on the Sunshine Coast, featuring remarkable architectural details that we had the privilege of bringing to life. This project, spanning three levels and featuring suspended decks, truly showcases what high-end formwork can achieve.

The Showstopper: 3-Storey Oregon Timber Concrete Feature Wall
One of the most unique aspects of Headland House is its 3-story Oregon timber concrete feature wall—a design choice that brings character and warmth to the home’s exterior while highlighting our team's craftsmanship. This wall is not only the largest we’ve ever undertaken but also one of the most intricate. The wall was poured in stages to achieve a flawless finish and ensure the wood-grain texture was captured perfectly in the concrete. We were thrilled with how it turned out, surpassing even our highest expectations.

Challenges and Precision in Execution
Working on a project of this scale requires detailed planning and precision. Each suspended deck level had to be carefully coordinated to align with the 3-story feature wall, ensuring the architectural vision was fully realised. From the foundation to the final finishes, every phase was a testament to our team’s dedication to quality and durability.

Why We Love This Project
Headland House is a shining example of the kind of work we’re passionate about. Not only does it exemplify the high standards of craftsmanship we hold ourselves to, but it also allows us to collaborate with visionary architects and builders. Seeing the final result—an elegant yet durable structure with a striking concrete wall—reinforces why we love what we do.

Conclusion
The Headland House project challenged us, inspired us, and allowed us to push our boundaries in high-end formwork. We couldn’t be prouder of the outcome, and we’re excited to continue delivering standout projects that elevate formwork to an art form. Stay tuned for more highlights from our recent work as we continue to transform designs into lasting structures across the Sunshine Coast.
